Summary of Feb. 10 Planning Commission Meeting

On Tuesday, February 10th, the church master plan was presented to the City of Dunwoody Planning Commission as part of the Special Land Use Permit (SLUP) process. The Planning Commission recommended Approval with some conditions. The first condition was that the future parking deck would have some evergreen planters on the top of the deck along the sides that face the neighbors. The second was to provide some evergreen planting in the back area of the property so they can grow and provide screening from the future parking deck.  This is another positive step in the process. The application will be discussed at a City Council “work session” meeting on Monday, March 9th, and then presented to the Mayor and Council at the Monday, March 23rd City Council meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to obtain a Special Land Use Permit for the overall master plan that could be built out in phases.
