On January 6th, we appeared before the City of Dunwoody Zoning Board of Appeals seeking four variances for our Master Plan. Two of the variances were approved unanimously and two were deferred until next month. The Zoning Board wanted more clarification as to the water run-off in relation to the impervious area and stream buffer. This is already being addressed by Cornerstone Site Consultants, LLC. About twenty people attended the meeting, three of our neighbors said they had not received our letter of notification dated October 30, 2014, to present our proposed Master Plan. This surprised us as we mailed letters out not only to those whose property touches ours, but many within the close proximity of our property.
Regarding the additional parking; specifically the parking deck which will be two levels above the lower parking lot making it the same level as the top parking lot. As the Master Plan continues to be phased in, Kiernan Hall would be replaced, and by this time our Scout Programs and Knights of Columbus would already be meeting in a far more spacious place in our new Family Center.
